Mentoring
Mentoring Scheme for Early Career Women Researchers
In April 1998 the Affirmative Action in Research
Committee initiated a mentoring scheme for early career
women researchers, sponsored by the Strategic Research
Advisory Committee. The aim of the scheme is to encourage
and support research,
as well as to provide women with access to informal
networks.
In 1999, after 9 months of the scheme, a pilot evaluation
of the scheme was undertaken. The pilot report,
Making a Difference: Flinders University
Mentoring Scheme
for Early Career Women Researchers 1999 is
available in PDF format.
In 2005, after the scheme had been in operation
for 7 years, a further evaluation was conducted.
A
comprehensive evaluation strategy was implemented,
focusing on subjective and objective career outcomes.
The full report, Making a Difference: Flinders
University Mentoring Scheme for Early Career Women
